The 2008 FIM Meridian Lifts British Grand Prix

The 2008 FIM Meridian Lifts British Grand Prix at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium saw a 45,000  strong crowd enjoy one the best speedway nights for along time. The evening was a true success with great races through out the night.

Jason Crump hit back last night with a 22 points win, while the well loved American Greg Hancock came a close second with 20 points. Our own boys Chris Harris and Scott Nicholls had a great night aswell both winning heats. Chris Harris braved his final race with a broken nose and damaged knee

The passing of a great rider

EDWARDS DIES Former Ipswich Witches speedway captain Bert Edwards has sadly died at the age of 92, his funeral is being held at Oxford Crematorium on Thursday at 1.45pm. He came back to Foxhall Stadium for the clubs 50th anniversary celebrations six years ago and was still remembered by thousands of Witches fans. He will be sadly missed
